Unraveling The Wicker Man

For the latest in my semi-regular column on branding practice for Transform Magazine, I had the pleasure of discussing the making of Alton Towers’ latest attraction: The Wicker Man with the team responsible for creating the ride itself, plus its distinct identity and practical theming.

When I first heard of the ride I was really intrigued that the park would wish to use both the name and key themes of such an infamous British horror film (which of course has its legendary denouement featuring human immolation) for a family attraction.

As such, I thought the best thing would be to get in touch and find out why.
